Students get a Taste for “What’s to Come” at the Sport & Activity Fair
Regent College students took part in a range of different activities as part of the wider activities during the Spring Term Review day. This day is used for students to meet their teacher or personal supervisor and discuss their progress and key targets. The Sport & Activity fair that ran alongside this, organised by newly appointed College Sport Maker, Alice Kempski, was designed to launch the beginning of her efforts to help get Regent College onto the sporting map.
Regent College Set the Tone at the Leicester Colleges Indoor Cricket Competition
Regent College have entered two teams into the Leicester Colleges Indoor Cricket Competition which will be taking over the next 5 weeks. This is organised by Leicestershire and Rutland cricket and involves teams from Regent and other Colleges in the region.

Anthony Nolan Trust Event at Regent
Students of Regent College took part in an event in partnership with the Anthony Nolan Trust, to encourage young people to help cure blood cancer by signing up to the Anthony Nolan bone marrow register. The event took place on 10th February and students are also working with the Rik Basra Leukaemia campaign, the charity set up by Leicestershire police inspector Rik Basra, who received a lifesaving bone marrow transplant. A large total of 224 of our students registered as stem cell donors, which was fantastic!
Marcel wins the 2012 Individual award
Leicester School Sport Partnership Trust held an awards ceremony at the Leicester Tigers as part of Leicester’s Legacy “99 days To Go” ; The awards ceremony was proud to present Regent College Apprentice, Marcel Hodge, the Individual Award.

The rain for Husein puts prize money mainly in the frame

This stunning image is the winner of the Leicester Mercury latest photography competition.
Photography student Husein Abdisalam, 18, took the picture, which he has called Rainy Days, near his home in Braunstone, Leicester.
The snapper, who goes to Regent College, used a Nikon D300 and macro lens to get close up to the tiny droplets and plants, winning our Life-themed competition.
Apprentice Marcel Hodge earns gold for Great Britain

Regent College Apprentice, Marcel Hodge, 20, recently came first in the 200 metres individual 4x2 relay at the INAS-FID Seventh World Indoor Athletics Championships held in Manchester. Marcel took the starting blocks for the 60m, 200m and 4x200m relay in the T20 category for athletes with an intellectual disability.
