Marcel wins the 2012 Individual award
Leicester School Sport Partnership Trust held an awards ceremony at the Leicester Tigers as part of Leicester’s Legacy “99 days To Go” ; The awards ceremony was proud to present Regent College Apprentice, Marcel Hodge, the Individual Award.
Marcel was nominated by Clifton Cox, Sports Coordinator at Regent College, for representing Team GB for the first time in the T20 category for athletes with an intellectual disability, at the seventh INAS World Indoor Athletics Championships in Manchester, March 2012.
This year the awards adopted an Olympic / Paralympic focus and each award was linked to some of the seven Olympic / Paralympic values.
Clifton Cox says “It was an honour to see Marcel win the 2012 Individual Award at the LCPT Conference. Marcel always presents himself as a enthusiastic individual and uses his ADHD to channel his energy towards running. He is hard working and a determined individual and has achieved a lot despite all the challenges he faces. A well deserved award".
